President – Darren Mackintosh
Darren Mackintosh is the CEO of College of Australian Training based at Palm Beach in Queensland, the Director of College Cuts Hair Salons throughout Australia, and the Managing Director of “2 Study Limited” – an internationally based IT study solutions company based in Beijing China.
College of Australian Training is one of Australia’s leading privately owned Registered Training Organisations (R.T.O) with and is recognised nationally and internationally as a competitive education and training institution.
College Cuts is an emerging chain of Hair salons, offering low cost high quality beauty services.
Darren has been involved in the Education and Training Industry for the past 16 years, and has founded and led some of the most successful training companies across Australia.
Darren is also a member of the Gold Coast Combined Chamber of Commerce, and holds the position of President for the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce; both of which he has represented for the past six years.
Vice President - Michael Tree
Michael Tree is Asset Manager at The Pines Shopping Centre, based at Elanora in Queensland. He has lived in the area for 14 years.
The Pines Shopping Centre is a leading sub-regional retail centre on the Gold Coast, home to Coles, Kmart, Woolworths, and over 90 specialty tenancies – including both independent and national retail groups. Along with the owners of the Centre, Michael represents these retail businesses at the Chamber.
The primary consumer trade area for The Pines takes in the suburbs of Elanora, Palm Beach, Currumbin and Tallebudgera. These suburbs make up the catchment of the Creek to Creek Chamber of Commerce.
Michael has been involved in institutional retail shopping centre management and development for the past 14 years, and has delivered successful development outcomes at a number of sub-regional centres across south-east Queensland. Prior to joining The Pines, Michael was responsible for the asset management of a portfolio of retail centres located in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and New Zealand.
Michael is a past Treasurer of Broadbeach Marketing, and is a past President of the Tweed Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a position he held for three years to 2009.
